If one does not know to which port one is sailing,
no wind is favorable.
The indispensable first step
to getting the things you want out of life is this:
decide what you want.
If you choose not to decide,
you still have made a choice.
Life works when you choose what you got.
Actually what you got is what you chose.
To move on, choose it.
I can teach anybody how
to get what they want out of life.
The problem is that I can’t find anybody
who can tell me what they want.
The hardest thing to learn in life
is which bridge to cross and which to burn.
To change and to change for the better
are two different things.
The strongest principle of growth
lies in the human choice.
Destiny is not a matter of chance,
but of choice,
not something to wish for,
but to attain.
By the choices and acts of our lives,
we create the person that we are
and the faces that we wear.
Choice of attention,
to pay attention to this and ignore that,
is to the inner life
what choice of action is to the outer.
In both cases,
a man is responsible for his choice
and must accept the consequences,
whatever they may be.
