Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance,
chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast,
a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past,
brings peace for today,
and creates a vision for tomorrow.
Nothing should be prized more highly
than the value of each day.
To be upset over what you don’t have
is to waste what you do have.
Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues,
but the parent of all the others.
Let us be grateful
to people who make us happy;
they are the charming gardeners
who make our souls blossom.
God gave us memory
so that we might have roses in December.
Look at everything as though you were seeing it
for the first time or the last time.
Then your time on earth will be filled with glory.
Before you put on a frown,
make absolutely sure
there are no smiles available.
Nothing is worth more than this day.
The most important things in life aren’t things.
Not everything that can be counted counts,
and not everything that counts can be counted.
There is no such thing in anyone’s life
as an unimportant day.
We never know the worth of water
’til the well is dry.
Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone.
When it rains on your parade,
look up rather than down.
Without the rain,
there would be no rainbow.
Praise is like sunlight to the human spirit:
we cannot flower and grow without it.
Too much of a good thing is wonderful.
The pleasantest things in the world
are pleasant thoughts,
and the great art of life is to have
as many of them as possible.
What is life?
It is a flash of a firefly in the night.
It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime.
It is the little shadow which runs across
the grass and loses itself in the sunset.
The way to love anything
is to realize that it might be lost.
Gratitude is the heart’s money.
Just think how happy you’d be
if you lost everything
you have right now…
and then got it back again.
Gratitude
unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have
into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance,
chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast,
a house into a home,
a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past,
brings peace for today,
and creates a vision for tomorrow.
